‘Le Perruche et La Sirene’ by Henri Matisse

Franz Cizek (b. Austria 1865]  Vienna Seccessionist artist, brilliant pioneer art teacher and education reformer.  He found that children are naturally creative and when left to direct themselves in a free studio environment they developed their natural innate artistic skill.  

The Vienna Secession was an Austrian Art Movement significantly influenced by Art Nouveau and Charles Rennie Mackintosh  ‘Glasgow Style’.  A brief and radical breakaway movement from the establishment, its success and impact still flourishes.
